  • - You can control size via quality

HEIC to JPG for WhatsApp (common fix)

If someone can’t open your iPhone photo, convert HEIC to JPG and send the JPG file on WhatsApp. JPG is supported on almost every phone and app.

Tip: reduce file size
Lower quality a bit to send faster on mobile data.
Tip: keep details
Use higher quality for printing or important photos.

HEIC to JPG for forms, job portals, and email

A very common reason to convert HEIC to JPG is compatibility. Job portals, government forms, school/college websites, and older office systems often reject HEIC files even when the image itself is valid.

Job portals
Convert HEIC headshots or document photos to JPG before upload.
Email attachments
JPG is easier for recipients to preview and download.
School/office systems
Avoid unsupported-format errors by using JPG.

Best JPG quality setting after HEIC conversion

There isn’t one perfect setting for every photo. Use a higher quality for printing, professional sharing, or text clarity. Use a slightly lower setting when you need smaller file size for forms, email, or chat apps.

90–100%
Best for prints, important photos, and keeping fine details.
85–90%
Good balance for general use, uploads, and sharing.
Below 85%
Useful when small size matters more than perfect detail.

Troubleshooting

Preview not visible

Some browsers can’t preview HEIC. Convert first—the JPG preview will show after conversion.

Conversion fails

Ensure the file ends with .heic/.heif. If it’s very large, try again or use a slightly lower quality.

JPG too big

Reduce the quality slider. You can also compress the JPG after conversion.
